How do the Three Gunas work?

Dear friends
We are very pleased to see that we have a great online sangha, and most of the attendees for our Sunday Zoom sessions are regular and consistent. From January 2025 we want to offer teachings in a more methodical and structured format, as a course, similar to our one-year course on the website. The format we are planning will work like this:
1. An allotted set reading from texts for each week, either from James’ books, mine or Rory’s.
2. This will be followed by an online teaching on the text
3. This will be followed by Q&A ,specifically about the text/talk.
Ramji and I will both teach, and Rory, Ben and Lucua will also be invited to present prescribed teachings. Your feedback is very welcome.
This Sunday, I will give a talk on how the three gunas work, and how to manage them along with karma yoga, as this is such an important part of putting the teachings into practice. Ramji and I will also both discuss the topic of symbols with reference to how they apply to your sadhana, and daily life. It is important to understand the Hindu symbology, but it is equally important not to objectify the symbols, as this is not their intended purpose. All the symbols point to one thing – the Self.
