Dear Friends,

I arrived back in Spain last week after almost two months in New York, and James gets back later this week. He is feeling really well, his surgeries were very successful, and it seems he has a new lease on life. Isvara took care of our karma in the most positive way. The Great Ramji is in form, and raring to go! We are very grateful to our dear friend Dave, who hosted us so graciously in his home and assisted us with every detail of our needs. During our long stay we shared many wonderful moments over good coffee, great meals, much laughter and superb satsangs. As Dave and I were designated 'support animals' by James, even our time with him in hospital produced much hilarity, despite the gravity of the situation. As a token of our gratitude for all Dave does for us, I made him a base relief tile of Krishna in the form of ‘Vedanta Gorilla’, which is what he calls himself. It is a fitting symbol representing Dave’s gentle and deep inner strength.

The writing on the borders is Sanskrit for - from the bottom – Ram, with the feet representing understanding (what stands under you); right side - Brahman, with the trident representing the three gunas or creation, top Krishna – with the lotus flower for purity, and, left side – Shiva with the conch shell for the transmission of the scriptures.

For this Sunday’s seminar, Ramji will continue unfolding the deep intricacies of Maya, which as most of you know, relate to every issue inquirers have in discriminating satya from mithya, developing dispassion and actualizing Self-knowledge. If there is time, I will join Ramji in the second half of the session and briefly unfold a synopsis of the main points of Ben and Rory’s talk last Sunday, which will cover why Self-actualization is a complex matter.
