Dear friends

It’s good to be back in Bali with my family as always, and I am looking forward to the seminar here next month. Particularly as we will be implementing a new system of teaching which takes the toll of travel off James. Because of the time difference, he will be teaching the afternoon sessions live via Zoom on a big screen – which will be almost as good as having him present! Lucua from South Africa and Ben from will also be joining in.

We will release the final schedule of who is teaching and when next month. If anyone would still like to join in, our main teaching venue is full but there is accommodation available across the road from it. Let me know asap so that I can secure it.

James is doing well in Spain with Susie’s kind help and inspired by Georg who has gotten him fired up to do reaction videos. This is a great way to dispel enlightenment myths and ignorance that infuses a lot of so-called ‘non-dual’ teachings, let alone most of everything else that is on offer in the spiritual arena. It makes people think about the way they think and what they swallow as ‘truth’.

We have had a very good response to the reaction videos within our Shiningworld community, as well as outside of it on other platforms. While it can be a controversial way to convey the nondual teachings because they cannot be refuted and nothing stands up against them, this is not easy to understand for some. Georg has contributed his view on the topic, along with links to the videos, see below.

I’m excited about our reaction videos analyzing neo-Advaita teachings through the clear lens of Vedanta. I noticed that neo-Advaita teachers use mostly the same words as in Vedanta and appear to convey nonduality, but something clearly feels off, leading to confusion and frustration, at least to me. Thanks to James’ insightful explanations, I can clearly understand the misconceptions now.

I’m personally amazed by how James unravels the ignorance of Neo-Advaita, as I find it already challenging to listen to neo-Advaita, not to mention understanding what they are conveying! I encourage you to dive into them and see the value for yourself.
