The Future: Ramji’s Insights on Self-Realization and Freedom

Dear Friends

Last Sunday, Ramji's opening statement captured the essence of his talk. He said that as Self realized people there is only the future. The past does not exist, and we cannot really be in 'the now' other than being present as the unchanging witness of the ever changing nature of the apparent reality as it zips past. Time never stands still, so the past is the past and so is the present. This Sunday we will take this discussion further and investigate why the realization that the future is our only option is so important with reference to freedom from and for the mind, our subjective reality. And why it is difficult to live.

Ramji and I are looking forward to escaping the Andulucian heat and dust as we head off to New York next week. We will be staying with Dave Reid on Long Island until early August then leave for the West Coast and Trout Lake. Those of you who can make it be sure to do so, this may well be the last Trout Lake:

We have two new events to announce for our Autumn teaching calendar this year. The first is in Amsterdam, 15th - 16th November:

The Berlin seminar will be held at the private home of a good friend of ours and not open to our community. But it will be streamed on Zoom the same way we taught in Bali, which will make it possible for anyone anywhere in the world to join in. We are hoping to have the funds to purchase the conference camera equipment that we had available in Bali, which greatly improves the interactivity between teacher and the group.
