What It Means to Be Human in a Nondual Reality
ZOOM on 16th February of 2025 at 7pm Madrid time
Dear friends
The year is moving on at a pace, time really does ‘fly’ as they say, even though there is no time for the Self. The components of living nonduality never change, even though our circumstances are in constant flux. We have been focusing on the importance of devotional practice as a sadhana and a lifestyle, for several weeks now. Bhakti yoga is really karma yoga in action, and it is a teaching we could carry on indefinitely as it is so inextricably woven into what it means to live a good meaningful life.
This Sunday we will continue the discussion, focussing on Nonduality and What it Means to be Human. This is at the heart of self-inquiry, even though being 'human' is what we must negate as our primary identity, if moksa is the aim. It is not an either / or, but a both / and. This is where bhakti yoga plays such a vital role as it requires humility, which manages the childish, entitled, fearful and neurotic ego. It opens the door to the bliss of our true nondual nature, and smoothes the path to freedom.
We look forward to seeing you all again:

4. Book of the Week:
“I have not actually reworked the entire text, although in addition to another rather farfetched story meant to illustrate the relatively of time and the power of the mind to create reality, it contains marginally important creation theories, the relationship between the dream and waking state, and other interesting and sometimes advanced spiritual ideas. The part I chose, however, deals with issues that any serious seeker will eventually need to confront. It also insists that enlightenment requires disinterested and professional help, and suggests that love problems can besolved in an internal way, with a minimum of egoistic squabbling and marriage counselors. Considering the haphazard character of modern questing and the sorry state of gender relations today, I thought these to be timely messages.”

6. Testimonial
This testimonial just came in yesterday by a Belgian spiritual teacher who was looking for Vedanta her whole life:
So, thank you. Really. You changed my life (or rather, Isvara did, using your jiva as a delivery mechanism). I am incredibly grateful for your teachings, your straightforward approach, and yes—your humor. You manage to make this whole enlightenment thing logical, systematic, and even funny. A rare feat in the spiritual world!
Now, on to why I’m writing (besides my shameless fan-girling): I want to help bring traditional Vedanta to the French-speaking world (I’m a French-speaking Belgian living in Southern Italy teaching online to a global French-speaking audience). It’s practically invisible over here, buried under layers of Neo-Advaita fluff and self-help spirituality. My idea? Translations. I’d love to start by translating some of your shorter texts, given my limited time between homeschooling my son and running my own teaching work.
My first pick would be What is Advaita Vedanta? (the free PDF on your website). But I’d love to hear your thoughts—do you have a specific text you’d recommend starting with? Also, I’ve already translated Sundari’s The 30 Most Important Life Principles for a Sane and Dharmic Life and shared it with my community. I’m attaching the French version (pdf) in case you’d like to make it available on your site.
I genuinely feel that your style, your clarity, and your no-bs approach to Vedanta are exactly what I resonate with. Like you, I have a critical mind, a strong inclination for systematic teaching, and an absolute love for making complex ideas accessible. So, this project excites me—not just as a way to spread Vedanta but also as a tribute to you and your immense contribution.
Also, I should mention that I’m completely hooked. I bought your full teaching pack (270+ hours, books, etc.), and for the first time, I found a structured, logical path. I even fell in love with the Scriptures and Sanskrit—something I never expected. Before Vedanta, I was stumbling in the dark with no real guidance. Now? It’s like my internal GPS finally got the right coordinates.
Anyway, I just wanted to reach out, thank you from the bottom of my heart, and see if you’d be open to me translating some of your work. Let me know your thoughts, and of course, no pressure—Maya will continue her dance either way!
Wishing you all the best (or at least, as best as it gets for a jiva who knows it’s all mithya),
