Dear friends

I can’t believe we are in May already. Time is a very convincing illusion - that which never actually moves is witness to such seemingly ceaseless movement! Yet, nothing ever really happens. Life is indeed a strange and beautiful mystery. It never fails to fill my mind with wonder that as Vedantins, we are so fortunate to both dispel and enjoy this apparent mystery.

The start of the Bali seminar is now three weeks away, and we are both looking forward to it. It will be a new and exciting way for us to hold seminars, with only one of us being there ‘in the flesh’, so to speak! James, Ben, Lucua and possibly Dave Reid will join me via Zoom. Susie leaves Mundo Sundaram this week after two months of dedicated service to the garden, and since I left, to supply James and Georg with delicious meals! I bet they will both miss her. She will be holding a seminar in France and then joining me for the Bali seminar. Dave Reid arrives tomorrow to join the fun and help out where needed as Georg will be leaving soon too.

As any qualified inquirer will know, whether or not you can claim that Self-knowledge is firm and unshakeable for you, the negation of the doer is at the crux both of freedom and of your life experience as a doer. When identification remains, however slight, duality and therefore suffering, remain.
